a) Yes, I'm alive. b) No, we're not still moving. c) Yes, it's the last time I plan to go through that much fun. d) No, I still haven't found everything. I don't plan to have everything accounted for for at least 3 or 4 more months.
But, aside from moving drama -- things are on track (so to speak) and back to normal. We're just getting out of the "finding new things that have broken" phase, and are moving on to fixing and fixing up everything. Ah yes, the American Dream . . . regular trips to Lowes and Home Depot. You know it's bad when employees start to recognize you . . . it's insane for them to remember what projects you came in for last. Bad stuff, maynard.
So the bad news, is that I missed the summer maintenance season for the beastie -- after all the fun finished up I brought it back to the house to fix all the broken stuff. Not in time for a couple regionals this season, but likely with enough time to get out a bit before it gets wet, and enough time to prep for next season with some minor upgrades. Yeah, work will never be complete . . . but at least now I've got two money pits that need work . |
